- Q: I have installed MSMail 3.x on my Win95 machine and every time
- I use MAPI I am getting an error?
-
- Make sure you have the MAPI.DLL from MSMAil 3.x and not the one that
- comes with Win95. ( The size of the MSMAIl 3.x MAPI.DLL is appx
- 50-70k, whereas the Win95 MAPI.DLL is appx 400-500k)
-
- Also use the Win16 version and not the Win32, because MSMail 3.x
- MAPI.DLL is 16 bit.
-
-
- Q: When I use MAPI a logon dialog box pops up?
-
- Either your password is not valid or you have no password.

-
- When mailing to a group, the group address must be used, not the
- alias name. Both the Admin program and the mail clients display only
- the alias for postoffice groups, not the real addresses. Mail sent to
- the alias will not be delivered.
-
- Find the group address using one of the three procedures below and
- use it when you send the mail.
-
- - Record the address when the group is created in the Admin program
- (LOCAL ADMIN-GROUP-CREATE).
-
- - Export the address list to another postoffice. The group address
- appears on the other postoffice.
-
- - Make a copy of the \GLB\GROUP.GLB file, from the Microsoft Mail
- Postoffice, and use the MS-DOS TYPE command to list the file. This file
- is not formatted when it appears, but it shows the association of group
- alias to group name.
